I gained an interest in film at a very early age and never looked back. I was always messing with photography and loved trying to figure out how the moviemakers did what they did. In high school, I took a broadcast journalism class which then led me to pursue a position on the WCAT ROAR broadcast team. We produced monthly shows that consisted of interviews, music video spoofs, and short skits among other things. As a member of the team, I got the opportunity to visit Reel FX studios and participate in one of their commercial shoots. This was most likely the trip that helped me decide that I wanted to work in postproduction more than any other aspect of filmmaking. After graduating from high school, I started looking around for film schools around the country and was led to The Art Institute of Phoenix in particular. I applied to the school and after getting accepted, packed up my belongings and moved to Phoenix. I've enjoyed every minute of my time at school editing different projects and working on the production side as well. I learned a great deal about the other parts of postproduction including visual effects, motion graphics, and sound design. I look forward to using these techniques and skills that I have acquired over the years to make a living out of my passion.
